Air Tahiti Nui Paddle Royal Approaches!

Only 4 days to go to the Air Tahiti Paddle Royal. The event is taking place on the 5th May at Point Venus,Māhina in Tahiti. The race is set to be a true French Polynesian experience. This is the 4th edition of the Air Tahiti Paddle Royal. Organised by the Air Tahiti Nui Paddle association with the goal “to highlight and promote paddle boarding in the fenua (French Polynesia), also to help Air Tahiti Nui ambassadors become more recognised abroad and finally to encourage international athletes to come to French Polynesia. This weekends program will see an elite and a novice SUP event, an elite and a novice prone boarding event, a tama race,the 425 Pro Giant SUP race. On land there is an entertainment village, a refreshment bar and a concert on the beach. 

Organiser Maeva Hargrave, who also works as a chief purser at Air Tahiti Nui told TotalSUP “This event has been organised in collaboration with Torea Colas and his team from Air Tahiti Nui marketing department, and Johanna Tinomano and Bryan Teriinoho  from Air Tahiti Nui Paddle committee.

The event would not be able to  go ahead without the from the Chief Executive, the volunteer staff such as the Commercial Air Staff Tahiti Nui, Jerry Mihimana CEO 425 pro, Georges Cronsteadt. We are very grateful for the Tahitian federation of firefighters of French Polynesia to ensure the safety of our riders on the water. The boat flotilla managed by Moreno, our media shooting partners Tahiti Fly, Tim McKenna, TBS5 / OPT, the part animation Pot’s and Evans, Tahiti Tourism.

This year the prizes are extra special, as all registered riders in all categories (novice and elite racers) will be automatically entered for a raffle, with 3 tickets up for grabs provided by Air Tahiti Nui. Furthermore Air Tahiti is also providing 3 tickets to all registered paddlers, including 1 Air Tahiti ticket offered for all registrations in all categories including mixed men and women (elite and novice SUP including the Tama Race and Giant Sup).

The Air Tahiti Nui Paddle Royal Race really has made Polynesia proud, and we thank Air Tahiti Nui that our paddle ambassadors Georges Cronsteadt, Puatea Ellis , Vaimiti Maoni, Niuhiti Buillard, Bruno Tauhiro can all travel abroad easily to paddle amongst the international riders.
