Olivia Piana: “The event “L’eau Vive” marked the very first edition of the French Cup in Paris. On the organizational side, it was brought together by “Le grand huit”, a club with more than 200 licensees and 50 volunteers, who made the event great!

On Friday, I held two clinics with twelve motivated riders who paddled through some rather stormy conditions with me.

On Saturday, 110 racers took part in the 11Km distance race, and it must be noted that there were significantly more girls than usual. The spot itself is beautiful. It’s only 15 minutes from the center of Paris. It’s almost like a little Paris, with the same charm, the river, the “guinguettes” (typical river bar) and families of swans.

On Sunday, the technical race was pretty heavy going, with a chicane and some very stormy conditions. Overall, the weekend was a lot of fun, and I’m really happy to have met some friendly and passionate people along the way.”
