Under 3 Minutes to Inflate a SUP: When we announced this in a reel to introduce the new Itiwit High-Pressure Electric Pump (PEHP500), you almost couldn’t believe it! And yet, that’s exactly the promise of this electric pump: faster inflation to spend more time on the water and generate less noise. For that last point, a special cover was designed so you can leave the pump in the cover during inflation, reducing noise by -8 to -10 dBA—not insignificant! With battery power, capable of inflating four boards at 15 PSI, it’s the ideal pump for SUP rental services and clubs, or for families with multiple boards to inflate. Hello Eric, let’s talk about the new ultra-fast electric pump from Itiwit! So, how long does it take to inflate a SUP?

3 minutes for a 10′ SUP with 300 liters inflated to 15 PSI. That’s about three times faster than current pumps on the market. It’s a real revolution for all Stand Up Paddle enthusiasts: Less setup time = more time on the water.

This pump is quite expensive compared to the previous Itiwit electric pump, which was already very successful. Who is this new model for?

This new model differs from the old one by:

• its 90Wh battery, allowing you to inflate your SUP or kayak close to the spot, autonomously, without needing a vehicle nearby.
• its power, which provides this unprecedented inflation speed on the market.

We designed this model for all SUP & Kayak users, regardless of skill level. It’s also appealing to clubs and professional rental services who need to inflate or re-inflate their boards daily. This time-saving innovation was confirmed by the “La Pagaye” club in Hossegor, with whom we work.

Inflation is a shared challenge for all our professional and private users, and we were determined to provide a solution. Our new ultra-fast pump is a true market innovation, offering an “instant inflation” solution. Once you’ve tried it, it’s hard to go without!

This pump is battery-powered—what is its autonomy?

Its 90Wh Lithium-ion battery allows it to inflate up to 4 SUPs of 300 liters at 15 PSI.

Can it also work when plugged in? For example, to a car cigarette lighter or with an adapter?

No, a 12V socket doesn’t offer enough power for our PEHP500. It recharges on an outlet (in about three hours for a full charge) but only works in battery mode.
To offer this level of inflation speed, it’s technically impossible to use a car’s 12V socket.

Can the electric pump be used to inflate other items, like a wing or a kayak? Are different nozzles provided?

Yes, the pump comes with a Boston nozzle, a mini Boston nozzle, and a high-pressure nozzle, making it suitable for most inflatable products available on the market.

Can the electric pump be used to deflate a board, to store it more compactly, for example?

Yes, simply unscrew the hose from the INFLATE port and reattach it to the DEFLATE side. Then, set the pressure (by pressing the “-” button) until the word DEFLATE appears on the screen.

How high can this electric pump inflate? Is it adjustable for automatic stop at the desired pressure?

It provides a max pressure of 20 PSI for inflating all types of watercraft. It automatically stops at the target pressure set by the user.

Noise is often the biggest drawback of an electric pump. How did you tackle this issue?

Noise is definitely a real issue for our users. A fast and quiet solution is our dream, and we’re working on it… but for now, in the absence of silent technology, the most effective solution for reducing noise is to minimize inflation time. By cutting inflation time by a third, we reduce noise for the user and their surroundings accordingly. But we didn’t stop there. The pump is delivered with a specially designed cover that allows you to leave the pump inside during inflation, reducing noise (~ -8 to -10 dBA).
