Pai’lolo SUP Sports of the Maui2Molokai Standup Paddle Board Race is announcing the 2017 Maui SUP Cup with total Price Money of $12,000 tying together the Maui2Molokai SUP Race with the Poi Bowl Race.

Race Summer time is SUP Downwind race time on Maui! The Maui2Molokai SUP Race has been a traditional race for the past 7 years.
The Pai’lolo Channel connecting with the Kalohi Channel is regarded as one of the best downwind race courses on the planet attracting an international crowd of elite paddlers every year.
Again, this year on July 15 th the legendary M2M SUP Race will start at the scenic Honolua Bay running across to Kaunakakai Harbor. Challenging athletes for 27 Miles on open ocean conditions.
Poi Bowl Race
In the past, the Maui2Molokai SUP Race was followed by the Maui Paddleboard Championships, one of the longest standing races in the SUPs young history.
In fact, you might claim that this race was the first SUP Downwind Race all together. Due to several challenges the race was not held consistently in the past.
Pai’lolo SUP Sports of the Maui2Molokai SUP Race is bringing this popular race back, taking place on the legendary Maliko Run from Maliko Gulch to Kahului Harbor’s Hawaiian Canoe Club.
M2M Race Director Rodney Kilborn stated: “We are excited to bring back the Poi Bowl Race on July 23 rd 2017 tying it in with the Maui2Molokai calling it the Maui SUP Cup to include Overall Prize Champions from both races.”
“We are also very excited to announce our new partner, Ellie Rae, whom worked very hard to receive the Community Enrichment Grant from the Hawaii Tourism Authority to help make these two races a success,” ads Marketing Director and long time paddler Mike Jucker.
