Here are some of the 2025 Starboard range highlights:
2025 Starboard SUP Hardboards: The Reimagined Whopper Range
Working with Portuguese surfboard shaper Louis Lacrau, known for his groundbreaking work with bevelled rails and high-performance shapes, Starboard has integrated these design advancements into the Whopper. The result is a modernized board with an all-new shape combining features from Starboard’s Spice and Whopper models.
The Whopper range offers three new sizes across four constructions. Check out all key features explained by Ollie O’Reilly, Starboard’s Brand Manager:
The GO Surf Range
The GO Surf is ideal for those that want a simple-to-use surf model that is responsive in surf, easy to catch waves, lighter to carry, and has decent glide and stability. The GO Surf range has been expanded with a new 10’6”x31” size, developed for all skill levels.
The new size caters to more riders, offering additional glide. With a width of 31″, the flat deck provides stable paddling, yet the narrow rails and pulled-in tail allow for excellent manoeuvrability through turns.
GO Surf key features:Â
Rocker: Offers you good paddle speed for cruising, yet has enough kick in the nose to prevent nose diving, and a moderate tail kick to lift the nose through turns.
The Rail: The rail thickness is fuller in the mid-section to provide float and cruising speed.
Bottom Shape: Vee throughout the bottom is designed for easy rail-to-rail transitions, and turning the board from the mid point.
5 Fin Option: 2+1 offers good drive and hold through turns, while the quad offers more release and speed. Recommended to switch to a single larger fin for flat-water paddling
Thinner nose and tail: The nose and tail have thinner rails to reduce both the swing weight through turns and to give you more bite to engage the rail through turns.
2025 Starboard SUP Inflatable Boards: From new tech to eye-catching graphics
Starboard has introduced new features to the iGO inflatable board range aimed at first-time paddlers, recreational paddlers and families. The new features include:
New Bungee Tie Down System: Wide adjustable bungee tie-downs with new metal easy clips allow you to carry more gear. A new centre bungee helps to fix your gear.
New Soft Carry Handle: iGO boards have soft EVA neoprene handles on the nose, centre and tail, to make carrying and transporting boards accessible for all.
New Foldable Drop Fin Box: 3 piece foldable fin box allows you to roll the board 33% smaller and reduces it’s drag by 50%.
More D-Rings and Kayak Seat: All boards feature additional D-rings to attach a kayak seat and foot strap mount or for shoulder strap set up. iGo and Touring Inflatable boards in the Deluxe Lite construction can be upgraded by adding a kayak seat and footrest for ultimate versatility on the water.
New Roll Technology: Riders can pack into a 33% smaller roll board bag with roller wheels and hiking straps.
Two special design options are available in Deluxe construction: The 11’2″ x 31+” iGO Deluxe Sun and 10’8″ x 33″ iGO Deluxe Wave.
Starboard 2025 Velocity Paddle
One of the most anticipated products, is the brand newStarboard Velocity paddle developed to minimize physical strain while maximizing performance in distance and endurance races. The Velocity Paddle promises to deliver the cleanest entry and exit, even power distribution, and efficiency for paddlers of all levels.
Connor Baxter, Multiple SUP World Champion and Dream Team Rider, said: “The Velocity blade has a really clean and easy catch… It’s super efficient while maintaining a decent amount of power.”Â
Velocity key features:
Double Concave Design: Starboard’s double concave design ensures powerful acceleration at high speeds while remaining shallow enough to prevent splash on entry and reduce body strain. This design facilitates smooth, efficient strokes without compromising on performance.
Sharp Centre Ridge:Â
The paddle features a sharp centre ridge that enhances clean entry and exit while maintaining excellent tracking through the water. This design element ensures a consistent and effective stroke with minimal disruption.
Winglets: Drawing from Starboard’s extensive research and development, including trials with various foils and wing tips, the winglet design minimizes turbulence and flutter. Located at the edges of the blade, the winglets enable the paddle to glide smoothly through the water, reducing awkward sideways shake and enhancing overall efficiency.
Thin Blade Profile:Â The entire blade is designed to be thin, reducing splash on both entry and exit. This design choice contributes to a cleaner, more efficient paddling experience.
Esperanza Barreras, Multiple World SUP Champion and Dream Team Rider, said: “It’s super easy to get it in and out of the water, even with a high paddling cadence. I’ll definitely use it in windier and choppier conditions when I need more stability.” Â
Starboard 2025 Foil Boards
With a mix of new product, exciting developments and innovations, the Tiki brand is offering a wide range of boards to suit all tastes, all levels and all types of riding. The brand’s biggest innovation is the Above, a mid-length model that’s right in line with the current trend. Alongside it are the classic Take-Off and Wingboard, both of which have benefited from significant improvements in shape for their 2025 version. For racing, the X-15 is still here, while for downwind, the Ace now comes in two models: the Ace Foil Lightning and the Ace Foil, a very narrow model for expert riders, and a more accessible model. But that’s not all! Starboard has also included inflatable boards in its line-up: inevitably, when you have a concept as cool as the AirFoil (with the foil mounted on a plate located on the deck of the board), it would be a shame not to develop it further.
