Sabaudia is easily accessible from Rome’s international airports:
Rome Ciampino Airport (CIA) – approx. 65 km / 1 hour by car
Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport (FCO) – approx. 85 km / 1h15 by car
By Car
From Rome: follow the SS148 Pontina towards Latina, then continue towards Terracina and Sabaudia. The journey takes around 1 hour to 1h30 depending on traffic.
From Naples: take the A1/A2 motorway direction Rome, then continue via Terracina towards Sabaudia. The drive takes approximately 2 hours.
By Public Transport
From Rome, take a train on the Rome–Naples line via Formia to Priverno–Fossanova station, then continue by local bus to Sabaudia. The total journey takes around 2 hours.
Thanks to its location near Rome and major transport connections, Sabaudia offers convenient access for athletes, teams, and visitors travelling from all over the world.
October in Sabaudia offers ideal Mediterranean autumn conditions for outdoor sports and SUP racing.
Athletes can expect mild temperatures, with daytime averages around 21–22°C and cooler mornings and evenings at 15–16°C. The sea remains pleasant at approximately 22°C, with light coastal breezes and around 11 hours of daylight.
The combination of comfortable temperatures and generally stable conditions makes Sabaudia an excellent setting for competition.

The 2026 ICF SUP World Championships are open to all paddlers — no qualification process is required. Athletes simply need to register and choose the category that best suits their level and equipment.
The event will feature a wide range of races for Junior, Open, and Masters athletes, including Sprint, Technical, and Long Distance competitions on SUP hard boards up to 14’.
Additional categories will include Inflatable SUP races, Foil Sprint, Kids races (U12–U15), as well as a Fun Race open to SUPs, canoes, and kayaks, creating a true celebration of paddling for the entire community.

Accommodation for athletes, teams, and accredited participants is coordinated by the Official Travel & Accommodation Partner appointed by the HOC.
A selection of hotels and lodging options will be available in Sabaudia and nearby areas, all within 3 km of the competition venue, with various room types available.

The SUP board rental service for the event is managed exclusively by the ICF Official Sponsor, Sport Camp.
