EuroSUP 2026 – European SUP Championships

The European SUP season reaches a major milestone this October, as Spain hosts the European Surfing Federation European Championships – EuroSUP – in Melilla.

National teams from across Europe will line up across Sprint, Technical and Long Distance disciplines, with both individual and team titles on the line, while Spain returns as the defending European champion in the national teams category.

Board Transport & Storage

A board-storage solution in Almeria is planned to support teams who need help with board transportation. This creates the possibility of shipping or delivering boards ahead of the event and coordinating onward transport to Melilla.

Boards can be received from 23rd to 30th September. On the 30th of September the boards will depart from Almeria to Melilla arriving in Melilla on the 1st of October.

Accommodation & 75% Support

There are no official team hotels, special accommodation offers or accommodation booking deadlines for EUROSUP 2026. Teams are free to choose the accommodation that best suits their needs.

The confirmed 75% subsidy/discount may be available on eligible travel and accommodation when booked through IAG7; teams should confirm the applicable conditions directly with the agency before booking.

200m SUP Sprint – Race Map

FORMAT Beach start. Total of 200 meters including a buoy turn- Finish line at the beach. Heats of 4 athletes.

12km Long Distance – Race Map

Long-distance course around the Melilla coastline and harbour approaches.

Technical Race – Map

1.8 km per lap – Rounds: 1 lap. Finals: 2 laps.

500m Team Relay – Race Map

Team relay on a compact two-buoy course in front of the beach.
