2026 ESL #6 Final Stage – Sesimbra SUP Festival

From 10-13 September 10 to 13, 2026, the stunning Praia do Ouro in Sesimbra will transform into the European capital of stand-up paddle boarding as it hosts Stop #6 and the Grand Finale of the European SUP League (ESL).

Organised by Surf Clube de Sesimbra, the Sesimbra SUP Festival 2026 is set to bring four days of racing, community and celebration to Portugal this September, welcoming elite athletes, emerging talent and amateur paddlers from across Europe.

Three disciplines, multiple categories

The festival will feature three competitive SUP disciplines:

• SUP Race Sprint
• SUP Race Technical
• SUP Race Long Distance (Marathon)

Competition will be open to male and female paddlers across a broad range of age groups:

• Youth: U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18
• Open & Masters: Open, Master (+40), Grand Master (+50) and Kahuna (+60)
• Amateur: Open Division

Athletes can choose to enter one, two or all three disciplines, with registration fees adjusted according to the number of events selected.

Registration Timeline

The Phase 1 Early Bird registration period runs from 15 to 30 August 2026, offering promotional rates. Phase 2 general registration opens on 1 September and runs until 10 September 2026, which is the final registration deadline.

Official Schedule Overview

• Thursday, 10 September: Participant reception, accreditation, and Check-in
• Friday, 11 September: SUP Race Sprint competitions.
• Saturday, 12 September: SUP Race Long Distance and SUP Race Technical competitions (Grand Finals & Closing Ceremony).
• Sunday, 13 September: Social & Community Day (“SUP Friendship” social paddle, intro lessons, Adaptive SUP, and environmental actions).
