Olivia Piana at IRONMANA 2017 – Diary of a Waterwoman

When Olivia Piana was offered a new trip to French Polynesia to take part in the KXT IRONMANA during the last edition of the Pacific Paddle Games, she did not hesitate a split second to take up the challenge. From the 4th to the 10th of December, the three-time ISA vice world champion from France will send us her daily impressions of the day in her ‘Diary of a Waterwoman’

[EN] Day 1 – Tuesday Dec 4th
Today we started with two SUP sprint races of 4 kms plus one race against the clock for the boys since they hadn’t had enough after two races! All with only 1.5L of water, all energy products or other foods, even bananas, being forbidden! Then 2,5 kms of swimming to finish the day… only an appetizer apparently. In today’s video I quickly gathered California’s lifesaving champion Carter Graves’s first impressions and chatted with French lifesaving champion Emmanuelle Bescheron (from Capbreton) who won the swimming event today. I win the SUP races this morning. Time to go to sleep. To be continued…

A suivre…
