Premium outdoor kit brand and Red Paddle Co’s sister company, Red Original, has just dropped an exciting new product which seriously raises the bar on the all-weather changing scene. Never ones to rest on their laurels, as sales manager Christian Pellissier explained in a recent interview, the Red team has shown innovation is at the heart of all they do with their epic new version of the very popular Pro Change Robe among stand up paddlers and outdoor lovers.
Among the leaders in the market in terms of quality and performance, Red Original have ripped up the rule book and improved the style and function of their changing robe even further. The Pro Change Robe EVO seriously improves the user experience when changing but also takes it to the next level when wearing for general use too.
Commercial Director, Catherine Morris explains to TotalSUP: “The Pro Change Robe EVO is a true Evolutionary product, we’ve kept what people love and refined what we felt could be even better, creating what is unquestionably now the best robe on the market in terms of quality, features and usability. We’ve enhanced every element of the EVO robe to make it as multi-purpose and user-friendly as possible.”
Packed with new tweaks and refinements, it is clear the EVO robe has been designed with the user in mind. The high performance, waterproof, breathable shell prevents water from getting in whilst uniquely allowing moisture out too. “The community asked for more pockets, we listened to them and crammed even more handy pockets throughout the design, including two internal pockets and a magnet on the handwarmer pockets to help keep small items, like gloves secure”, says Morris.
The technical fabric used in the Pro Change Robe EVOÂ not only looks premium but is lightweight and far more packable than other alternatives on the market and the longer length offers increased protection from the elements and concealment when changing. The moisture-wicking deep-pile fur lining, which pulls water away from the skin, is super soft, and gets you dry and super warm fast.
With trendy winter water swimming and stand up paddling and even more people enjoying the outdoors year-round, there is a huge demand for an all-weather jacket that functions not only as a great change robe but can also protect you from the elements in any outdoor activity.
“As people’s usage habits have evolved, we challenged ourselves to make our range, even more fit for purpose and at the cutting edge of what they do. The enhanced features on the EVO all have a purpose and function. We worked with elite sport clothing designers on the overall construction and fit so the robe better handles freezing conditions as well as being even more comfortable and practical to wear. The importance of the overall aesthetic has been central to the design of the EVO too, so not only will you feel great wearing it, but you will look great too. We’ve added subtle branding and considered features make this robe look like a stylish outdoor jacket, suitable for use anywhere, anytime.”
The new EVO Pro Change Jackets will replace the current version from 07/10/21. The team have retained the best-selling colours for 2021 / 2022 and introduced two new on-trend and contemporary colours; Parker Green with burnt orange lining & trim and Fuchsia pink with grey lining & navy trim.
The range is available in four different sizes so you can find your perfect fit:
• Medium: Recommended for 5’3″-5’10” • Large: Recommended for 5’11” – 6’3″ • Extra Large: Recommended for 6’4 – 6’8” (Available in Navy and Teal only.)
(Short sleeve and Long sleeve available in all colours & all adult sizes)
