20-time Austrian Stand-Up Paddle champion Christian Taucher, announced this week his new sponsorship with international SUP, SURF and FOIL brand SUNOVA. Following the end of his collaboration with Fanatic, this new partnership should help Christian Taucher, one of the most active and influential SUP racers and training coaches in Austria and Europe, to continue his SUP success story and strive for the podium in national and international SUP races.
“SUNOVA, known for its high-quality and innovative SUP Race boards, as well as its focus on performance and sustainability, will support Christian to reach his goals in the 2023 race season” says Thailand-based Martin Jandke, co-founder of The Board Factory and co-owner of SUNOVA. “We are putting a lot of effort into building a strong SUP race team, and Christian as well as a reinforced presence in Austria are key elements for us.”
The SUNOVA SUP boards will be supplied in Austria by Pure Surfshop, a leading retailer of water sports equipment in Austria, specializing in surf, windsurf, and SUP gear, owned by Andreas Portenschlager and Michael Mayer. Andreas is thrilled to be working with now SUNOVA ambassador Christian Taucher, and the partnership should mean a soon-to-be-witnessed SUNOVA push on the Austrian market.
Christian Taucher comments: “I’m proud to be partnering with SUNOVA, a brand that shares my passion for the sport and my commitment to excellence. I’m confident that their superior SUP boards will help me achieve my goals in the 2023 race season and beyond.”
