For the first time ever customers across the US can rent a standup paddle board or kayak
online and have it delivered to their doorstep for a convenient, affordable experience on the
water. This program was developed by SUPrents, a web service that rents SUP’s and kayaks
and ships them directly to customers anywhere in the US. Customers from beginners to
advanced can have the kayak or SUP package delivered to their door starting at $199/week.
The kayak package includes Oru’s innovative Bay Kayak, a paddle, assembly instructions, and a return shipping label. The standup paddle board package includes a lightweight portable
inflatable standup paddle board, paddle, pump, inflation instructions and a return shipping label.
The process is easy: customers simply go online to www.SUPrents.com, select the gear, enter
the dates of their trip, and provide a shipping address. The gear will arrive on the selected date;
after the rental ends customers place the gear back in the original box, attach the prepaid
shipping label and place it back on the porch for UPS pickup. Shipping to and from the customer
is free.
For SUPrents this is a huge step toward making the water more accessible and inclusive. The
company was founded to serve people who want to participate more but are challenged by the
sky-high costs, storage, and common underutilization of paddle boards and kayak ownership.
SUPrents also aims to combat the intimidation factor of trying something for the first time
without the right gear.
By using technology and the national infrastructure of UPS to deliver experiences and
convenience to people all over the US, SUPrents is seeking to upend the traditional way of
renting and trying standup paddle boarding and kayaking. The company is keenly aware of the
growing millennial generation that is spending more time and money seeking live experiences;
this concept gives the perfect opportunity to address those needs directly and jives with the
companies tagline “Rent the gear, own the experience”
