Here are the official standing results of the US Open of SUP at Santa Monica Pier 2022, stop #1 of the 2022 APP WORLD TOUR. Congratulations to April Zilg (Team 404) for her two commanding victories in the Sprints and in the Long Distance race, to Mauiâs SUP racing legend Connor Baxter (Starboard) who managed to outrun Arthur Arutkin (Fanatic) in the last beach run in an epic Sprint final on Day 1, and to Itzel Delgado (Infinity SUP) for his first ever win on the APP World Tour in the long-distance, followed by young up-and-coming star, 16 y.o. Bodie Von Allmen (SIC Maui).
We are fully aware there has been a lot of controversy all week around Day 2âs Long-distance race due to a lead boat taking then leading Michael Booth and Arthur Arutkin off-course and out to sea without warning at the 5-mile mark, for which the APP World Tour issued an apology while maintaining the rankings.
