The 11th edition of the 2022 Namur SUP Race, the oldest SUP Race in Belgium and the longest-running SUP event of the Eurotour, was a great success with the highest participation to date. The sun was shining at The Flow by Charlie’s Club, the watersports center at the heart of the event and the expected rain held off.

On the women’s side, the top 3 athletes rapidly broke away from the pack. However, it was the young Cecilia Pampinella who controlled and led the trio for the entire race.
Dutch champion Petronella Van Malsen came in second, followed by the up-and-coming Swiss racer Anna Tschirky in third. Further back, another Dutch rider, Frouke Wichgers finished in 4th with Czech paddler Michala Hendrichova closing the Top5.

Unprecedented! 3rd win for Bruno Hasulyo in Namur
On the men’s side, Hungarian world champion Bruno Hasulyo set the pace from the start and much like last year, broke from the pack on the first leg for an unprecedented 3rd victory in Namur!
The battle for second place was hugely intense between the Junior SUP racer Donato Freens from The Netherlands and one of the top Spanish SUP racers Fernando Perez. From Israel, Liran Machlev managed to achieve a huge comeback and finished 4th. Closing the Top5 was yet again Antonio Morillo from Andalucia, Spain in another solid performance.
