Estão abertas as inscrições para 1.ª etapa do circuito nacional de SUP Race Técnico, no dia 22 de Maio (domingo) na Praia Internacional do Porto e em Matosinhos. No sábado (21 de Maio) realiza-se um Meeting de SUP com demos da SIC Maui e da Starboard e uma prova de SUP Wave Open (aberta a toda a gente), seguida de um Sunset Party no local do evento.
– Prova de Race Técnico. Formato beach race: 5 km para as classes Pro (12’6 e 14’0) e 2 km para as classes amadoras. Prize-money 500 na categoria masculino e 250 euros na categoria feminino. Amanhã publicaremos os percursos (que ainda poderão ser alterados consoante as previsões do tempo).
– Esta prova pontua também para o circuito inter-sócios Remar a Norte (que conta também com provas em Moledo e Vila do Conde).
– Domingo à tarde serão realizadas provas de Sprint abertas a todos os participantes (atletas federados e praticantes federados, que poderão se inscrever em fichas dadas pela organização), num regime FUN, com classe Pro (12’6) e amador (all-round). A prova será por eliminatória, com heats de quatro competidores. Será aberto às categorias masculino, feminino e júnior.
– Terá também lugar uma inovadora prova de Sprints por estafetas, num registo bastante divertido e com o intuito de promover a modalidade e convívio entre atletas. Cada equipa será constituída por três elementos (e obrigatoriamente por uma mulher ou júnior). A prova será por eliminatórias, com heats de duas equipas e todas as equipas competirão com a mesma prancha (uma all-round fornecida pela organização)..
– A organização vai fornecer também um local para os atletas de Race guardarem as pranchas de sábado para domingo, caso pretendam.
– Estes eventos estão inseridos no Porto & Matosinhos Wave Series, que decorre de 26 de Abril a 18 de Outubro, e engloba baptismos de surf, o Circuito de Surf do Norte, Curso de Juízes de Surf da FPS, a Liga Moche (a decorrer de 14 a 15 de Maio) e a Júnior Cup (Campeonato Nacional de Surf Esperanças Sub 18), de 15 a 16 de Outubro.
