Rincon Beach Boy SUP race (Puerto Rico)聽 organisers have issued a press release explaining that the Rincon Beach Boy SUP Race 2018 has been Postponed, due to recovery effort post-Hurricane Maria.
Organisers stated “After much analysis and deliberation, team Rinc贸n Beachboy has taken the difficult, but ultimately best in everyone’s interest, decision to postpone our tenth Rinc贸n Beachboy SUP race until 2019“.
The organisers added “It has been a time of hardship since Hurricane Maria, but because of our resilience we were keen and excited to continue our event without interruption with a race in 2018. However, we must humbly admit and recognize that the hurricane’s repercussions have been far reaching,聽affecting not only the landscape, but also people, and businesses; all elements which help make up the race. The reality is that the logistics needed to produce a quality event are difficult to coordinate under the conditions left in the storm’s wake. We will continue working toward our next edition and an extra year in planning and preparations will help ensure the 2019 Rinc贸n Beachboy #10 will be an amazing, unforgettable day of racing, music, friends and family!!”
2019 Rinc贸n Beach Boy #10 is scheduled to be held on聽April 6 2019, put it in your diary and start training!
