Born in Marseille in 1991, Olivia Piana grew up in the French Alps. Influenced by her mother, who was a sailboarding enthusiast, Piana started to sailboard herself at the age of 10. Living in the mountains, sailboarding wasn’t exactly practical for Piana, who instead focused her efforts on taking part in triathlons. She won several titles in this field before taking up Stand-Up Paddle in 2011. Following an injury in 2015 while she was sponsored by Fanatic SUP, Olivia came back stronger than ever with her new sponsor, Starboard, in 2016, before joining the 425pro in 2018 and Rogue SUP in 2019. Olivia Piana has won 3 world sup race titles in 3 different disciplines in 2018 and 2019: Long Distance, Technical Race and 200m sprints.
