The Cruzer can be equipped with a host of cool and practical accessories, including a board rack for surf enthusiasts. SUP world champions Zane Schweitzer and Connor Baxter, who have collaborated with Mathieu Rauzier on a number of board designs at Starboard, have been very eager to represent the Rayvolt brand as its first official ambassadors.
Rauzier, who is a former naval engineer, is keen to point out that “our connection with the sea is part of the company’s DNA. This whole project was inspired by finding a clean way to go surfing. Most watersports enthusiasts have a great respect for nature, which is sadly not always reflected in wider industry dynamics and manufacturing. Our goal has always been to contribute to the new clean watersports movement.  The Cruzer is synonymous with this, combining solar power, intelligent energy recovery and a 100% sustainable manufacturing process.”
The bike itself is the epitome of technological and engineering prowess. Its powerful engine is completely silent, while its onboard computer lets you adjust the levels of power and energy consumption to suit your needs. Through its “intelligent pedal assist system” you can adapt the bike’s settings to the gradient of the surface below, while the bike’s built-in GPS maps out routes and directions which can be saved for future reference. When connected to 3G, this feature also allows you to locate the bike easily via Smartphone. In addition, the Cruzer boasts a multimedia player and a solar cover that helps recharge the battery when stationary.
