Take your first wave with a Stand Up Paddle Board

In this video, TRIBORD, the french brand explains to you how to take your first wave with a Stand Up Paddle Board.

First, you need to know your favorite position on the board : Goofy or Regular
► Regular : person using his left foot as the front foot.
►Goofy : person using his right foot as the front foot.
We recommand for you a 45°C position.

For your first surfing session, it is easily to take waves when you’re facing to the wave. A wave that runs on the left for goofy and a wave to the right for regular.

Paddle starting side so that your paddle strokes naturally put your board in the axis of the take- off.

Your first paddling will make your board face to the beach and give you the speed necessary to turn your SUP.

When your take – off is made , take your favorite position, (goofy or regular). Don’t forget that your front foot need to be at the level of the carrying handle.

Hold your paddle in the wave side, thanks to it, you can speed up or press the wave to increase your balance.

It’s your turn !
