Sonni Hönscheid

Sonni Hönscheid is a German rider originally from the island of Sylt. She grew up in a number of different places. Among them, Sylt, Hawaii and Fuerteventura, which is where she started Stand Up Paddle for the first time in 2008. Quickly catching the SUP bug, Hönscheid’s father built two custom-made boards for the rider. One year on, in 2009, Hönscheid took part in her first SUP race. She is primarily sponsored by Mercedes-Benz and Starboard.
