In the heart of the Netherlands’ Friesland region, the 15th edition of the SUP 11 City Tour unfolded last week, a five-day endurance race covering an average of 45 kilometers each day. This year’s event brought thrilling victories and a surprising retirement announcement.
NSP Spain Team rider Izaskun Martin del Campo made her SUP 11 City Tour debut memorable by triumphing in the Open Ladies category following a week-long battle with last year’s winner Tanja Ecker. Meanwhile, Bruno Hasulyo, the favorite in the men’s competition, clinched victory once again. However, the bigger news was Hasulyo’s announcement of his retirement from professional SUP racing as soon as he had crossed the finish line, marking the end of an era. As we congratulate all the participants and applaud the winners of the 2023 SUP 11 City Tour, we also bid farewell to Bruno Hasulyo, a true legend in the sport whose legacy will live on.
