THE GLØGLØ RACE 2022 ! Join Sweden’s coolest race of the season, the Swedish version of the French GLA GLA Race.

Race Formats and Categories

The race is a flat water race on the Malmö Canal where all participants have the chance to win. Of course, traditional winners in the women’s and men’s classes will be crowned. BUT the top prize, THE GLØGLØ trophy, will be drawn from all participants.The elite classes run two laps, 9.5 km, while the exercise classes and juniors run one lap, 4.5 km.

In addition, the elite and junior classes have their own championship, namely the District Championship for Skåne. In order for your ranking to count towards the DM, you must be a member of a Skåne club affiliated to the Swedish Canoe Federation and have a valid competition licence. Indicate in your registration, no later than December 1st, if you want your result to count towards the DM.

The exercise class is a social event rather than a competition. It is paddled by those who are excited about SUP and enjoy gliding on the water. Preferably decked out in Christmas-inspired attire and accessories.
Registration and skipper meeting will be at Malmö Canoe Club, start and finish will be at the Gondola Bridge below Slottsträdgårdens Kafé.

You can moor at Malmö Canoe Club or at the Gondol Pier. Unloading of boards can be done at the club but the number of parking spaces there is limited. The best parking facilities are at Malmö Museums.
