
Established in 1985, it is the longest-running paddle surf competition in the world. The event is held at Steamer Lane in Santa Cruz, California, and features competition in kayak, SUP, and waveski surfing. The venue also includes the intermediate break, Indicators, offering additional competitive conditions for developing paddle surfers.
For its 35th edition, organisers have confirmed the return of the ocean race and appointed Candice Appleby as Race Director.
