Welcome to our inaugural race of K-APP, hosted in the beautiful Gwangalli Beach in Busan, Korea. Gwangalli Beach provides the perfect backdrop and arena for not only APP World Tour competition, but also a safe and controlled environment for mass participation at every level as part of our Busan City Paddle Festival.

Gwangalli Beach
Paddle for the Oceans is a global 2.5km paddle challenge that unites thousands of paddle enthusiasts on the water in the effort to make a difference to the oceans. This will be a chance for everyone to come together in a show of solidarity for the oceans, whilst making a real difference as the APP pledges to donate 50% of all proceeds to ocean-related initiatives and charities.

This fast-paced 250m sprint course will provide dynamic action for the unique APP elimination format for Pros, Pro-Ams and Open participants. This course will feature 3 buoy turns and a short sprint to the finish line, and the elimination format will give all paddlers the chance to battle their way through the rounds to the Final in each respective division
25 September 2022 – What to expect:

- PRO & AMATEUR DISTANCE RACES
The APP World Tour Pro distance race will see athletes paddle 10km featuring buoy turns, a beach start and finish and a paddle out to the iconic Gwangalli Bridge. The amateur race will be slightly shorter at 6km but will feature all the same components as the Pro race.
