The Stubby Air is Fanatic’s compact inflatable wave SUP, designed for intermediate to experienced SUPers, looking for progressive and dynamic performance from a board that is incredibly convenient to store and transport.
Featuring the same efficient parallel rail concept as Fanatic’s composite Stubby, the Stubby Air has great hold and drive on the wave. The wide nose and double diamond tail combined with the 2+1 fin setup allow for instant reactions and fast snappy turns. Produced in Fanatic’s high tech Double Layer Light technology with its incredible stiffness / weight ratio, never has so much fun been packed into a compact backpack!
Construction / Technology
The Double Layer Light technology is Fanatic’s Premium construction. Featuring a second PVC layer, which is welded directly to the core layers and around the V-Drop Stitch material – the heart of each Fanatic Inflatable. An additional third layer of coloured rail bands round off the highly durable and premium quality, with stylish optics of the deck print.
The benefits of the Double Layer Light construction when compared to the standard Double Layer technology is a 20 – 25 % reduction in weight, and around 25 – 30 % increase in stiffness. Simply the best inflatable technology out there!
