The Hungarian Canoe Federation and SUP Race Hungary Club & Fodor Rafting look forward to welcoming you to the international Youth Pool SUP Challenge, taking place in Sukoró from 30 January to 1 February 2026. Following Hungary’s successful hosting of the ICF 2021 World Championships and 2022 World Cup, this new youth-focused format continues that proud tradition.

LOCATION

The Katalin Kovács National Kayak-Canoe Academy is a modern sports complex designed for canoeing, rowing, and multi-sport training. Its core features include a competition course with starting machines and finish tower, a counter-current pool, and a dedicated training c entre. Athletes also benefit from outdoor fields (soccer, basketball, tennis, teqball, running, street workout), a 50m FINA-standard swimming pool with wellness area, and an indoor sports hall for basketball, soccer, volleyball, and squash. Additional facilities include gyms, recreation rooms, and a climbing wall. On-site accommodation, a sports diagnostic centre, conference rooms, and full catering make it a complete environment for training, competition, and recovery.

GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE PARTICIPATION

Range of participants
– The competition is open to anyone who complies with the rules and regulations of the competition.
– Membership to an ICF (International Canoe Federation) or ISA (International Surfing Association) National Federation is not a requirement to participate in the competition.
– Each competitor is individually responsible for his / her own participation and the administrative duties related to his / her entry.
– By registering and participating in the competition the participants assure at the same time their ability to swim at least 200 m without assistance.
– If a competitor is under the age of 18, parental consent is required for participation.

Equipment & Competition Rules
– All competitors will race with their own paddle and uniform Thomas Breitling 11’ 6” inflatable boards provided by the organizers.
– If a competitor does not have a paddle, one can be supplied by the organizers.
– For Fun Race participants, a swimming cap is mandatory and swimming goggles are recommended.
– In the preliminary races, advancement to the finals will be determined by time trial results.

Age group definition and entry conditions
– In the under 19 categories, the calendar day of the 8th, 11th, or 16th birthday is considered for classification.
– The OPEN category includes those who have reached the age of 19 and have not yet reached the age of 50.
– The masters’ age group is defined with a minimum age of 50 years. An athlete can compete in the masters (50+) event in the year that he or she reaches the lower limit of the age group.

Sport Nationality

– The sport nationality of the athletes is determined by their nationality or country of their domicile.
– An athlete may only represent one nation during the calendar year.

Health & Medical Responsibility
– A medical station will operate at the poolside, providing ambulance support and first aid.
– Each competitor is liable for their own health and fitness to be ready to compete in the races. Upon registering to the race, the participants give a declaration on their medical state as detailed in the General Terms and Conditions. The organisers do not take any responsibility for any harm to the health and the consequences thereof due to the participant’s medical state during the races.
– All participants of the event are strongly advised to take out a medical insurance.

PRIZE MONEY

A total of €6,000 (gross) will be awarded across the sprint and technical races in the Open categories, with prize money distributed equally between men and women.
In the Youth categories, participants will compete for valuable non-cash prizes.

Each competitor represents himself and is responsible for his own entry and participation. Only the person participating in the competition can register on the online site.
