This year marks the 10th edition of The Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis (10X4CF), a one‑of‑a‑kind endurance challenge that sends paddlers on an 80‑mile open‑ocean journey from Bimini, Bahamas, to Lake Worth Beach, Florida.
Are you ready to take on one of the toughest ocean endurance challenges in the world?!
The Crossing For Cystic Fibrosis is a long-distance endurance paddle challenge and international championship that takes paddlers 80 miles across the Gulf Stream from Bimini island in the Bahamas back to the Florida mainland in the City of Lake Worth Beach. The event was inspired because of the incredible health benefits of the Ocean for those living with cystic fibrosis and a father’s love for his daughter. Founder Travis Suit’s daughter, Piper, was diagnosed with CF at 4 years old.
All funds raised go towards supporting CF families through the Piper’s Angels Foundation programs such as urgent financial assistance, medical equipment and needs, mental health, scholarships, peer support & mentorship, care packages, and more!
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a rare, life-threatening genetic disease that primarily effects the lungs and digestive system. It causes thick, stick mucus to build up in the airways and other organs leading to severe respiratory and
digestive problems. Over time, this can result in lung damage, chronic infections, and complications that shorten life expectancy and decrease quality of life. Currently, there is no cure for CF.
