Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis: An Epic 80-Mile Paddle for a Cause
The Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis is a one-of-a-kind endurance challenge—an 80-mile paddle across the ocean from Bimini, Bahamas, to Lake Worth Beach, Florida.
This event, scheduled for June 19-22, 2025, aims to raise awareness and funds to support families affected by cystic fibrosis.
About the Cause
Cystic fibrosis is a severe genetic disorder that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system, leading to chronic lung infections and breathing difficulties. Inspired by the therapeutic benefits of the ocean for individuals with this condition, Travis Suit founded the Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis after his daughter, Piper, was diagnosed at the age of four. Since its inception, the event has become a symbol of hope and resilience for the cystic fibrosis community.
