Buckle up for one of the most anticipated SUP races in the UK!Β  The last SUP The Creek Flatwater race was back in 2019, for many it was a challenge as the weather threw everything at us, wind, rain, chop, headwind, downwind, flat and a few turns! This challenge is what makes the event unique compared to other β€˜flat water’ races and one eagerly anticipated to be back in the race calendar.

The race team and support boats have been working hard to deliver SUP The Creek and to ensure that the race that is fun, safe and challenging to varying competency levels so that there is something for everyone!

SUP The Creek – Flat Water Race: Saturday, 22 October 2022

Time: 11:00 – 18:30

Race format:

  • Kingsbridge – A 1km course suitable for Novice paddlers
  • Bowcombe – A 6km course suitable for Intermediate paddles
  • Widegates – The full SUP The Creek course, 12.5km suitable for those wanting to challenge themselves or to explore the beautiful Kingsbridge/Salcombe Estuary
  • There will be also included: Prone class, SUP The Creek Without A Paddle, which will be opened up to local RNLI lifeguards and others wanting to challenge themselves in a different discipline of Paddle Boarding

SUP The Creek – Technical Race: Sunday, 23 October 2022

Time: 8:00 – 17:00

Race format: The Tech Race consists of 3 Laps at just over 7km with a beach Start, buoy turns, surf elements and beach runs, it’s a great one to take part in or even just watching, make it a weekend to remember in Devon.
