SUPRome is an 18 kilometer stand up paddle adventure through time that crossing Rome or the “Eternal City”.
On May 1st 2020, Discover the Eternal City of Rome by SUP! SUP Rome 2020 is a SUP journey that takes you on the Tiber river in the heart of the Italian capital and passes under ancient and contemporary bridges. SUP Rome is on its sixth edition, it is neither a race nor a competition but a paddle experience and a good excuse to come and visit Rome.

SUP Rome 2020 Organisation
SUProme is organised every year by the paddling club: Associazione Dilettantistica Sportiva “Discesa Internazionale del Tevere”.
The18 KM journey is on The Tiber that bisects Rome, the Tiber is a white water class 1 – 2 river with one class 3 passage, where portage is possible. The SUPRome is open to all paddlers with experience and equipment suited to a white water river with up class 2 rapids. The journey is recommended on iSUPs, epoxy boards are not recommended.
How about 8 days on the Tiber river instead of 1 ?
SUP Rome is also the penultimate stage of the 41st Tiber River tour (www.tibertour.com), an 8-day paddling, cycling or walking tour which starts in Citta di Castello on April 25th and finishes 200 kms further down the Tiber river in the Mediterranean sea in Fiumicino, on May 2nd.

09:15 at Lungotevere Dante- You will find a dedicated car park to catch the bus shuttle. Bar facilities are available.
You can carry your gear on the bus (i.e. inflatable boards-must fit in the luggage compartment). Please note that you need to be dressed for the descent and you can leave your luggage at the sport club locked dedicated room.
Please be aware that the number of pumps at the starting point on the river could be limited.
09:30 The SUPRome bus leaves from here at 09.30 for the starting point on the river.

Please note that no responsibility is taken for any damage to the gear in the luggage compartment.
Please be aware that the SUPRome shuttle bus will be only be available only in the morning until 09:30 and if you leave your vehicle at the starting point, you will have to provide your own transportation back to your vehicle (cost of a taxi will be approx. 70 euro).

If you do not have your own gear, you may rent gear and boards which will be available at the starting point.
The names of the suburbs where accomodation is suitable are: San Paolo or Ostiense. At the registration section there is an image with a selection of hotel.
Paddling will end at the Sport club approximately at 17:30.

Registration cost is 35 euros if paid by the March 31st and 40 euros by the 15th of April! By bank transfer or Paypal. Included in the price is a shuttle bus and food feast at the finish line!
