The beautiful City of Osaka will welcome the World’s best Stand Up Paddle athletes to its beautiful waterways, while celebrating the sport through mass participation and Festival experience like no other.
The Osaka Open is stop #3 on the APP World Race Tour, and the 3rd iconic City on the 2019 schedule (following on from London and New York). The event will feature APP World Tour Sprint and Distance Races for the World’s Best, Pro-Am, Amateur and Entry level participation opportunities.
It will kick off with an opening event on, the evening of Friday 20th September on the beautiful Nakanoshima Island right at the heart of Osaka. Athletes and guests will then head down the River to one of the most recognizable areas of Osaka, Dotombori Canal. Here the World’s best will take to the water to open the event in style, on the eve of what will be a true celebration of SUP in Japan.
