La Kelt Ocean Race sera organisée par le Kelt Océan Club (K.O.C.) le 11 avril 2020

1. Programme :

La KELT OCEAN RACE est une épreuve de longue distance : 1 downwind en baie de Douarnenez.

L’organisateur annoncera le programme définitif selon les conditions météorologiques le jeudi 9 avril 2020

L’organisateur choisira un parcours parmi ceux proposés selon les conditions météorologiques.

SAMEDI 11 avril 2020
9H30 / 11H :Confirmation des inscriptions	Village : Plage des Sables Blancs Tréboul
11H / 11H30 :Annonce du  parcours du jour avec présentation des zones de départ et d’arrivée.
11H30 / 14H :Dépose des planches au départ. Navette à la charge des coureurs pour amener une voiture, utiliser au maximum le covoiturage.	Route
14H/14H30 :Contrôle des équipements de sécurité individuel. 14H30 : Départ de la première course	Lieu de Départ
18H30 : Retour de Mer : Collation offerte Résultats de la course	Village : Plage des Sables Blancs Tréboul

1. Conditions d’Inscription :

Conditions d’inscription :

• Avoir  + de 15 ans

• Licence Annuelle : FFS , FFCK ou FFSS ou FFV

ou certificat médical (-de 3ans) de non contre-indication à la pratique d’un sport de rame.

Les différents supports :    

Stand Up Paddle : Définition du matériel

– les SUP à partir de 11’ sont autorisés donc les 12’6 ; les 14’.

– Quelle que soit la longueur de la planche, il n’y aura pas de classement distinctif. Il n’y aura qu’un classement.

– SUPfoil et UL autorisés. (classement dissociés)

– Les planches gonflables considérées comme engin de plage par les AFMAR sont interdites sur la longue distance.

Pronepaddleboard : Définition du matériel

Au vue de la configuration des courses longues distances la taille minimale des prones est de 12’.

OC1 et Surfski K1 : Définition du matériel

1. Inscriptions : Ouverture début février

– Inscription obligatoire sur weezevent 

Le nombre de participants est limité à 150 concurrents

Le prix d’inscription est de 25 euros

– Fermeture des inscriptions le Jeudi 25 avril.

1. Instructions de Course :

Les procédures de départ seront annoncées lors de chaque briefing.

Un système d’émargement sera mis en place avant le départ de course, et au retour. Tout compétiteur ne répondant pas à cette règle sera noté DSQ.

Chaque compétiteur devra être équipé :    « Division 240 »

• d’un leash. (ou bout de remorquage pour OC1 et Surfski K1)
• d’une tenue adaptée assurant au minimum une protection du torse ou de l’abdomen, une flottabilité positive et une protection thermique.
• d’un gilet de flottaison 50N. gilet gonflable autorisé (pas pour les pronepaddleboards)
• d’un feu à main. (cyalume autorisé)
• d’un sifflet qui devra s’attacher et se mettre dans le gilet. Ce sifflet sera utilisé par le compétiteur uniquement pour signaler à son entourage (autres compétiteurs, bateaux d’assistance, …) qu’il est en difficulté et qu’il demande assistance.

L’organisateur se réserve le droit d’interdire le départ à un concurrent si l’équipement n’est pas complet.

Tout abandon devra être signalé à l’organisation.

Dans le cas où le responsable de la sécurité considère qu’un compétiteur se met en danger, où est en difficulté, l’organisation se laisse le droit de stopper ce compétiteur. Sur ordre des responsables sécurité, le compétiteur devra alors monter à bord du bateau.

Obligation de porter assistance à toute personne en danger, le temps que les secours prennent le relais.

Obligation de respecter l’environnement, les sites empruntés ainsi que les autres concurrents, et les organisateurs bénévoles.

Le port du lycra de l’évènement est obligatoire.

Toute attitude antisportive entraînera la disqualification du concurrent.

Interdiction de porter des vêtements amples, favorisant toute aide du vent.

À aucun moment pendant la course un concurrent peut empêcher un autre concurrent de ramer. La participation à la course implique l’acceptation du présent règlement.

THE KELT OCEAN RACE is composed of 1 long distance race : 1 downwind in the bay of Douarnenez.

The organization team will announce on Thursday, April 9, the definitive schedule accordingly to the weather conditions.

The organization team will choose the course among those proposed, according to the weather conditions.

Saturday 11th April
9.30 / 11 am :Confirming the inscriptions	Sports camp : Plage des Sables Blancs Tréboul
11 / 11.30 am :Announcing the race course of the day, showing the starting and finishing zones.
11.30 am / 2 pm :Leaving the boards on starting beach. Shuttle bus  on competitors fee, please share the cars as much.	Route

Or medical certificate (of less than 3 years)

–  SUP boards from 11’ are authorized, so the 12’6 ; the 14’ and the UL as well.

– Whatever lenght of the board, there will not be distinctive  ranking. There will only be one ranking.

– SUPfoil authorized.

– The inflatable boards considered as beach gear by the AFMAR are forbidden for the long distance.

Pronepaddleboard : Defining the equipment

Given the configuration of the long distance races, the minimal lenght of the prones is 12’.

OC1 and  Surfski K1 : Defining the equipment

No special remarks about that.

4.Registrations : Opening February 19, Closing April 9.

– The registration is compulsory on weezevent

Registration : 25 euros

The number of competitors is limited to 150.

5. Race Instructions :

Starting proceedings will be announced on each briefing.

A signing sheet will be set on the starting point and on the finishing point of the race. Any competitor not respecting this rule will be quoted DSQ.

Each competitor will have to be equiped :    « Division 240 »

• One leash. (or a towing end for the OC1 and the Surfski K1)
• A suitable outfit giving at least a protection of the torso and the abdomen, a positive floating and a thermal protection.
• A lifejacket 50N. inflatable jacket autorized (but not for the pronepaddleboards)
• One hand flare (cyalume authorized)
• One whistle attached and in the pocket of the jacket. This whistle will be used by the competitor only to flag to his entourage (other competitors, rescue boats)  that he is in trouble and requires assistance.

The organizing team has the right to forbid the start to a competitor if the equipment is not complete.

Any race abandonment must be notified to the organizing team.

If the security manager considers a competitor is putting himself in danger, or is in trouble, the organizing team has the right to stop this competitor. On command of the security manager, the competitor will have to get on board the emergency boat.

There is an obligation to help any person in danger, until the emergency team is here.

There is an obligation to respect the environment, the zones you cross and the other competitors, and the organizing volunteers.

Wearing the event lycra is mandatory.

Any unsportsmanlike attitude will lead to the competitor being disqualified.

It is forbidden to wear large clothing, increasing the help of the wind.

At no time during the race can a contender prevent another one to row. Running the race forcely implies the acceptance of these rules.
