The 5th edition of the Gran Canaria PRO will take place from June 6 to 8, 2025, at the scenic Anfi del Mar beach in Mogán. The weekend will feature two thrilling race days: Long Distance racing on Saturday, June 7, followed by Sprint events on Sunday, June 8.
As every year, the competition brings together top athletes from Spain and around the world, with countries such as Switzerland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Italy, Argentina, and Germany already confirmed.
A major highlight this year is the new format of the Spanish PRO SUP League, organized by the Spanish Surfing Federation. Only the TOP 15 ranked athletes from 2024 will compete in this elite category. The 6 finalists will share a €2,000 prize pool — €1,000 for men and €1,000 for women.
The organization will also award two international wildcards (one male, one female), who may earn prize money if they reach the podium in the Long Distance race. However, wildcard results will not count toward the 2025 FESurf ranking.
While the PRO League is restricted to the top 15 athletes, the GRAN CANARIA PRO maintains its Open_Internacional format, open to all competitors. The Open category will also offer €2,000 in prize money — equally divided between male and female finalists.
In parallel, the LIGA FEDERACIÓN welcomes participants from all categories, including Amateurs, Kahunas, Masters, and young athletes from sub16 down to sub8.

5:00–8:00 PM: Welcome cocktail, briefing, bib pick-up at Maroa Club de Mar
Saturday, June 7 – Long Distance
8:30 AM: Long Distance briefing
9:30 AM: Race start for Open, PRO SUP, Elite, and Sub18 – 13 km
11:30 AM: Sub16 – 6 km | Sub14 – 3 km
12:30 PM: Sub12 & Amateurs – 2 km | Sub10 – 800 m
1:00–3:00 PM: Lunch
3:00–5:00 PM: BIG SUP team races (open to all)
6:00–7:00 PM: SUP Yoga (open to all)
Sunday, June 8 – Sprints
8:30 AM: Sprint briefing
9:30 AM: Open Sprint races for all categories – 200 meters
1:00–3:00 PM: Lunch
3:00–6:00 PM: Sprint finals
6:30–7:00 PM: Award ceremony & closing
