Experience an exciting day at Farmoor Reservoir with various activities and competitions at the first round of the 2025 Black Project GBSUP National Paddle Racing Series.
The Super 8 kicks off the 2025 season as the first round of the Black Project GBSUP National Paddle Racing Series. This exciting event features competitive and novice races in a distance format with a unique figure-of-eight course. To add an extra layer of excitement for both paddlers and fans, a thrilling “super lap” will challenge even the most seasoned competitors.

• 14′ iSUP & Starboard Airline Cup – 14km Distance Race with a Super Lap
• Juniors – Up to 7km Distance Race with a Super Lap (U17 & U14)
• Prone Paddleboard – 14km Distance Race with a Super Lap Novice Fleets:
• Challenge Tour – 7km Distance Race with a Super Lap
• Novice Juniors – Fun races and SUP games (Ages 8 and up)
• Adult Novice 1km – 1km Super Lap
Fleet Notes
• The Starboard Airline Cup competes as part of the 14′ iSUP fleet.
• 14′ Hardboard Age Groups and Juniors (U17 & U14) ages are classified by your age at the start of the year (01/01/2025)
• Full event timings, start sequence, procedures, and further details on any event-specific requirements will be released closer to the event date in your Race and Activity pack.
Pre-Event Activities
Competitors are invited to paddle/train on the reservoir on Friday
Oxford SUP Club also invites participants for their ‘Sunday Social’ paddle on Sunday morning.
A launch fee of £15 is payable to Oxford SUP Club on both days.
Mandatory kit: Leashes for all
BA’s for all juniors – optional for adults for racing only BA’s must be worn for training/social paddling

Its calm waters and scenic surroundings offer a challenging yet rewarding course for paddlers of all levels. The venue also offers plenty of on-site facilities and a cafe based in the sailing club.
