Film Premiere – The Crossing: Through Blue

Locale Films is premiering “The Crossing: Through Blue” on Thursday, December 21st at Savor Cinema near Downtown Fort Lauderdale. There will be food, live music, & a raffle drawing to win a BOTE paddleboard + more.

The documentary is about a long-distance endurance paddle challenge from Bimini, Bahamas to Lake Worth Beach, Florida. We’ll be revisiting the events that unfolded at this year’s Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis, an 80 mile paddleboard race with a purpose, through the lens of Flying Fish rider and 2023 Last Paddler Standing winner Blake Carmichael & Team BLU3.

Net proceeds from all ticket sales will be donated to Piper’s Angels Foundation.

Join us for the first chance to see Through Blue by Locale Films on Thursday, December 21 at 7:00 PM! This exclusive fundraising event will take place at Savor Cinema in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

There is free parking located at the county courthouse parking garage (just to the west of the building). Parking is also available at any nearby city-metered spots.

We’ll have a social hour from 5:30 – 6:30 PM in the courtyard. We will provide some refreshments from sponsors of the event. There’s a concession area featuring traditional movie theater faire; popcorn, snacks, candy, hot dogs and beverages for purchase. There’s also a full liquor bar featuring beers & wines for purchase as well.

The showtime is at 7 PM. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the showtime for check-in at the latest. We will have a few guest speakers before the film showing and a Q&A session afterwards.

After the showing, the courtyard area will remain open for an afterparty with live music & a raffle drawing from 8:30 – 9:30.
