The International Tiber Descent (Discesa Internazionale del Tevere) is a renowned multi-day river journey through the heart of Italy. In 2025, it celebrates its 46th edition with a unique twist — a special Jubilee Edition (DIT-MMXXV IUBILAEUM) designed as a spiritual, cultural, and ecological pilgrimage from the river’s source in Tuscany to its mouth at the sea in Lazio.
Unlike previous years, this edition is not formally organized with official guides or support logistics. Instead, it encourages participants to travel independently or in informal groups, embracing the journey as an opportunity to connect with others, explore Italy’s landscapes, and move respectfully through nature.

The participation form for DIT 2025 closed on March 31, 2025.
Despite this, participation in the event is still possible, as DIT 2025 is a self-managed, informal journey rather than a formally organized event.
Purpose of the Form:
The form was not a registration but served to:
> Facilitate group formation
> Support information sharing
> Assist in logistics and coordination
Important Considerations:
Participation is still open under the following conditions:
> Participants must be autonomous and experienced, especially for paddling stages
> All travel, safety, equipment, and logistics are the sole responsibility of each individual
> Those who did not take part in the preparation process may be discouraged from joining certain sections, particularly the more technical river stages

Recommended Next Steps:
Join the DIT 2025 community group:
DiscesaDelTevere@googlegroups.com
To:
> Receive updates
> Ask questions
> Connect with other participants
> Ensure proper insurance, medical fitness, and equipment before attempting any stage
