2024 Open Belgian SUP Technical Race Championships

Welcome to the Belgian Open Technical Race Championship 2024 – Official ISA World Championships Selection Race, open to pro SUP athletes, amateur paddlers and kids!

The second leg of the Belgian SUP Tour (BST) is kicking off with the Open Belgian Championships Technical Race on Saturday, 24 August at the Koksijde Yachting Club on the Belgian West Coast, promising yet another adrenaline-fueled ocean style race open to all.

This event promises to be one of the highlights of the SUP season, attracting athletes from all over Belgium and beyond.

Why take part?

The exceptional setting of Koksyde, with its coastline and varied conditions, provides an ideal playground for a high-level technical race. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or a SUP enthusiast looking to push your limits, this event is the perfect opportunity to test your skills, meet other SUP enthusiasts and enjoy the friendly atmosphere that characterises SUP gatherings. This competition counts towards the annual BST rankings.

• 1^st Man – 1^st Woman: €150,-
• 2^nd Man – 2^nd Woman: €100,-
• 3th Man – 3th Woman: €50,-

Open Belgian Championships Technical Race, Saint-Idesbald:

The distances offered are as follows: Elite: approximately 4,500m, U16: approximately 3,000m, and Kids (U14): approximately 1,500m.

The course:

• Elite division: 3 laps of 1.5km
• U16s: 2 laps
• Kids: 1 lap

Timing:

• 9 :00 – 10:00: Check-in and registration
• 10:30 – 11:00: Skippersmeeting
• 12:00 – 16:30: Premier départ
• From 17:00: Chill zone + BBQ
• From 17:30: Podium
