In the men’s race, it was a France vs Australia / NSP vs Starboard fight for the top 4 positions with New-Caledonian Titouan Puyo, already on a string of 7 back-to-back victories this year, who delivered a stunning performance and proved at 31 years old he is still the best racer in rough conditions. In doing so, he won a much-expected battle against 3-time Eurotour champion Michael Booth, winner of the high-profile Carolina Cup earlier in April. 17-year-old French SUP Racer Ethan Bry from Britanny managed to keep up with Boothy for most of the race and had the best performance of his young career to date. Australian NSP rider Ty Judson came in 4th. Closing the Top 5 and also on his best international performance to date was 2021 ICF Junior vice-world champion Manuel Hoyuela on a SUNOVA flat water board.
