One of the leading inflatable paddleboard brands, Red Paddle Co, have just released their latest collection of inflatable paddle boards. The British brand, now into its second decade of trading, demonstrates once-again that user-led design is at the core of each product it produces. There is no shortage of innovation from Red in this new range, and their continued dedication to improving, adapting and updating their award-winning paddleboard packages has resulted in one of their most advanced and ergonomically elevated ranges to date. Red Paddle Co designer Katie Eaton and Head of Marketing Charlie Green present the new gear to TotalSUP.
The new Red Paddle Co 12.0 Compact
Red Paddle Co designer, Katie Eaton explains…
“We’ve developed the 2022 range to maximise the experience of the paddler so that every person can have the absolute best time both on the water but also getting ready to get out paddling. Now more than ever we want to listen and evolve with our customers’ needs and requirements. Whether that is carrying their board to the water, to setting up or paddling in the safest most ergonomic way. We are considering every aspect of the paddling journey. A key focus has been on improving and adapting our best selling All Terrain board Bags and redesigning almost every aspect.”
NEW ADDITIONS – 12’0 COMPACT TOURING BOARD
The ground-breaking inflatable Compact paddleboard range launched in 2019 welcomes a new board to the family in the form of the 12’0 Compact. Based on the ever-popular Red Paddle Co Voyager range this board provides the perfect blend of stability and manoeuvrability for touring longer distances but with the added benefit of packing down into the super-smart Compact Backpack. Ideal for adventurous paddlers who are limited on space, the patented PACT™ Compact range now consists of the 9’6” Compact, 11’0 Compact and the new 12’0 Compact. Each board delivers the best transportability, storage, and flexibility from an all-in-one package.
The look of the whole Compact range has also been reimagined with an eye-catching and seriously functional design.
A unique split deck pad now allows the board to fold on the hinge, meaning it is easier than ever to fold and roll away into a super small package. And the 12’0 Compact backpack has been re-worked with a top-down opening to allow for easy access and storage when often using the board.
12’0 VOYAGER FOR THE LIGHTER RIDER
Another new touring board joins the line-up of the Red Voyager range. The 12’0 Voyager is the third board to join the voyager family and has been designed specifically with a slightly lighter rider in mind. The board contains extra volume so paddlers can easily pack all their kit on the front for longer touring adventures. More than ever paddlers are keen to adventure further as Head of Marketing, Charlie Green explains…
“The surge of paddlers with all-around entry-level boards has been huge this year, yet as these paddlers progress their skills, they want to paddle further for longer. Here at Red, we have always understood the appeal of heading off on an overnight SUP adventure or expedition and building a board that can handle the weight of additional kit and offer stability and performance was our mission with the V-Hull Voyager boards for 2021. For 2022 we have further evolved and listened to feedback – we saw there was a gap in our voyager range for the smaller, lighter paddler. The new 12’ Voyager joins our touring family and means we have a collection of boards that are suitable for a variety of paddlers and a variety of longer touring conditions.”
TRANSFORMING ADVENTURES
Red’s unwavering dedication to user-led design does not stop there. Also brand-new for 2022 and exclusively available with all 2022 boards, is the new ATB Transformer Bag. Not only is this a highly engineered, adjustable and ergonomic paddleboard bag, the team have listened to their customers and developed a revolutionary bag-less carry system that has been designed with all paddleboarders in mind.
Paddlers can now go further and access more remote waterways without the need for a heavy bulky bag. Inflating a board at more remote waterways (previously inaccessible with an inflated or rigid board) is now a real possibility. This bag transforms from a large, wheeled bag into a lightweight skeleton backpack so paddlers can simply leave their main bag in the car and easily and comfortably carry their board to the water. It is quite literally transforming SUP adventures.
Three bags in one the ATB also offers improved support for your shoulders and back and is fully customisable to your height to ensure the bag will take care of your body under load. The exterior compression straps make the bag more comfortable and compact and the larger all terrain wheels make easy work of rugged terrain.
TIMELESS PADDLE DESIGNS
Last but no means least, the team have completely overhauled their paddle range for 2022 to deliver a truly streamlined collection. The range of dynamic and highly responsive paddles are highly functional, durable, and seriously stylish. All 2022 paddles are composed of non-glued components meaning every piece of the paddle is both replaceable and recyclable. They have also engineered a leash connection system for their three-piece paddles which are designed to keep the blade and mid-section tethered together for convenience and easy set-up.
NEVER COMPROMISE
Red Paddle Co continues to advocate its brand promise to NEVER COMPROMISE and once again everything in the new range has been designed to maximise performance, reliability and unrivalled quality. A five-year warranty is offered on all boards which are registered within 3 months on the brand’s website. This offer blows the industry standard of 12-months out of the water and further demonstrates why Red Paddle Co are the number one premium inflatable SUP brand.
Boards are arriving at stores throughout November 2021 and customers can pre-order with their local retailer.
