The Race

The Nautic SUP Paris Crossing is the largest stand up paddle race in the world, gathering a whole host of professionals and amateurs on the same starting line.

In 2016, 600 riders participated in the race. For this new edition, 700 riders will cross the Seine river against the amazing backdrop that is the beautiful city of Paris!

Over the past few years, the Paris Crossing has become an unmissable event on the French stand up paddle and watersports calendar, and this 8th edition will take place on Sunday 3 December 2017 in the morning time.

The Course

Participating riders will have the choice of taking part in two different courses:

The Leisure course, which is approximately 11 kilometres long.

The Pro course, which is 13.5 kilometres long and which comes with an added difficulty: a complete lap of the Île de la Cité and the Île Saint-Louis, the two islands situated in the centre of Paris’s Seine River.

The race will commence at the French National Library buildings and will come to a head at the “Javel Bas” Dock.

New Additions

There have been a number of revisions and new elements introduced for the 2017 edition

For starters, 100 more places have been added to the total number of participants!

A new category in the Leisure Division has also been created: the “Junior Women’s Leisure” category (for women under 18) has been added to the 3 existing categories (Scratch Leisure, Women’s Leisure and Junior Leisure)

In addition, this year, there will be massive support for the Telethon at the Paris event. Indeed, a BIG SUP in the colours of the Telethon will be at the heart of the biggest stand-up paddle in the world for the occasion. In order to support the sick and the parents of sick patients engaged in the battle against rare genetic diseases, online donations can be made via the Nautic SUP Paris Crossing page or directly at the Telethon stand, which can be found at the Nautic throughout the 9-day Paris boat show.
