“The Great Race of the Mediterranean SUP Race” is back once again! The 3rd edition on November 14, will host neither more nor less than the 2021 Spanish Long Distance SUP Race Cup, as well as being a scoring event for the Mediterranean circuit. Given the situation in which we find ourselves, the event will take place following all the necessary precautionary measures, to guarantee safety and the best possible environment for the participants.

Race Courses
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE EVENT Registrations The registration period 1st online section ends on Monday, November 8 and will go up € 10 more until Wednesday, November 10 at 23:59 pm, which will end the online registration
In-person registrations can be made during the runner’s fair (November 12 and 13)
Important: In the case of registrations made on November 12, 13, we cannot guarantee participants the delivery of the runner’s bag and the official technical shirt.
Chip pickup and rider bag
The delivery of the chips and the riders’ bags will take place at the Corridor Fair located in the Alicante Provincial Council on November 12 and 13.
Numbers collection schedule: November 12 (17:30 pm-20: 00 pm) and November 13 (10:00 am-14:00pm and from 16: 00-20: 00 pm)
Board storage
All participants can deposit their board in the guarded enclosure on the Varadero beach, except for the Sub 18 and Elite categories, who will have to deposit their board in the trucks that will move to the starting point at Urbanova Beach.
You can leave your board on Saturday, November 13 from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Each participant will be responsible for the identification of their board.
Note: If, exceptionally, a participant cannot leave the board until the day of the race, they must go to leave it at the starting points of each of the races first thing in the morning and go to Santa Pola to the pick-up point. Riders. We recommend that you do not come later than 07:00 am.
Board transport
The runner covers and bags will be kept in the organization’s truck that will travel to the arrival point so that participants can have their material available upon arrival.
Transfer of participants to departure points
The bus will pick up the participants leaving from Urbanova Beach on TIME at 07:15 am from the Vatasa parking area in Santa Pola, and will transfer them to their corresponding departure points.
Important: Please be at the pick-up point in advance, because the bus will leave on time at 07:15 am. You have to bear in mind that on that day most of the roads will be cut by the runners’ race, in advance we will indicate the best way to get to the collection point.
The meeting of patterns of all Categories will be held on Saturday at 20:00 p.m via zoom. You will previously receive a link in your email where you can access the platform
In addition, a reminder Briefing will be held at the starting point of each category as a reminder.
Safety The use of safety leash and the event shirt will be mandatory over any element, for ALL categories
Only for the U8, U10 and U12 categories, the use of a vest will be mandatory. (the race director can announce that it is not mandatory and if recommended)
It will be essential to be federated through FESurf or one of the affiliated federations.
License
For those who are not federated, they can register for a weekend insurance that will be provided by FESurf at a cost of 5 euros and they must process it at least 3 days in advance. Contact FESurf: mediterraneosuprace@gmail.com
For those who register online, they will have the possibility of making the payment of the federative fee and we will process it for them.
The Amateur category will not be required to have a federative license.
Covid measures The use of the mask is mandatory throughout the event except at the time of the competition, we will have a volunteer to collect them at the time of the departures and upon your arrival you will have a mask in the refreshment bag to be able to put it back.
Tracker
The Elite and Sub 18 categories will carry a tracker in the race for their follow-up. The competitor will be placed at the checkpoint that will be located on Urbanova beach when he has all his equipment on, including camelback.
Finish Line Upon arrival at the finish line of Crono4sports, participants must deposit their board, paddle, chip and tracker in the finish area and run to cross the same goal as the runners. They will receive their refreshment bag with the finisher medal and mask.
The awards ceremony will take place once each test is finished. You must be attentive, it will be announced. The first three classified by category once the test is finished will have to stay in the prize-giving area.
